Introducing GenAI Contextual Segments for YouTube advertising

Pixability Expands Leadership Team with Google Veteran Norman Rohr

November 18, 2015

Rohr brings more than 15 years of technology and digital media experience to video ad buying technology company

Boston, MA — Video ad buying technology company, Pixability has announced the appointment of Norman Rohr as Vice President, Global Operations and Strategy. Rohr brings more than 15 years of technology and digital media experience across four continents, including more than seven years in various roles at Google. He most recently served as Head of Small and Medium Business Marketing and Head of Customer Acquisition at Google Canada.

Rohr will lead global business strategy and operations across Pixability’s offices in Boston, Chicago, London, New York, and San Francisco, and will manage operations to power the company’s rapid international expansion. Media agencies and their brand clients worldwide are increasingly allocating budgets toward premium online video, as the effectiveness of walled garden video advertising is recognized. Pixability’s international customer portfolio includes GroupM, Gucci, iProspect, L’Oreal, PUMA, and ZenithOptimedia.

“Pixability’s rapid growth is a testament to our powerful video ad technology and a market demand for an effective – and clearly measurable – way to shift ad dollars from TV to online video,” said Bettina Hein, Pixability Founder and CEO. “Norman will serve an instrumental role in facilitating Pixability’s continued growth as we expand our business around the world, prove the value of our premium video advertising solution, and grow our customer portfolio.”

Prior to Pixability, Rohr spent more than seven years with Google in finance and marketing leadership roles in London, San Francisco, Tokyo, Toronto, and Zurich. Rohr also previously worked with Hein at Swiss-based speech technology specialist SVOX AG, where he served as Head of Finance and Operations from 2005-2008 before the company was sold to Nuance Communications (NUAN) for $125 million.

“In an increasingly fragmented landscape, Pixability plays a crucial role as neutral arbiter of video advertising performance on premium platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Its video ad buying solution provides agencies and brands the clarity and performance they need to capitalize on video’s targeting, reach and effectiveness,” said Norman Rohr, Pixability VP, Global Operations and Strategy. “After many years in the media industry, Pixability’s robust technology platform is the strongest cross-platform solution I’ve seen, and I look forward to leading the company toward continued global growth.”
